    ok, so i created a new desktop name in windows xp. then i moved all my documents there. then i said, oops i dont need my own desktop and deleted it. turns out, all my documents got deleted in the process. i tried system restores, but that doesn't work. any suggestions guys? please help.

    Restore

    Two programs you can use for active file recovery. Recover files that have been deleted from the Recycle Bin. No guarantee that they'll fully work, as the software makers have stated, but worth a try.

    Well atleast you know not to make the mistake again. Lol!

    I suggest always backing up your files. Put them on another PC, hard drive, memory stick/flash drive, DVD, CD, or anyother possible means.

    Only backup files you absoultly must have.
