    Unhappy

    Hey people,

im making a new picture but i came across a idea did some searching on internet n decided to come herew for help. Basiccly im making a pic and i dont know how to make somthing shine across as if like.....its sorta hard to explain its like the sun would be shining of a sword n the shine would start from the buttom n go all the way up (might have an idea ill try n find a pic (google) n than post it.

this might nto be much help to describe what it is (im not sure but i think there is a guy named Slow poke on these fourms he ahd a Wolverine pic n it would shine on the claws of him ill cheak)

but if u do know what im talking about and resources or tuts would help(coulden't find on here )

    Thanks

I think you're talking about 'Light Trace' and there's a few versions of this but I'm pretty sure I know the one you're talking about.
You could do it in Image Ready with a 'gradient white screen overlay' animated to drift over what you want, gets tricky but do-able. Or, use Flash, I think its also achievable to do in Swish as well.
    try here:

    or this one, slightly different:
    http://www.flashkit.com/tutorials/Special_...Fen-1/index.php

    maybe that'll help

if you're talking about what i think you are, try playing around with the dodge tool, it'll be tricky to animate with image ready though.

nah its not that hard...just make a new layer above what you want to shine..make a relected gradient layer...then click layer- create clipping mask then switch to image ready move the layer to the start point...duplicate (in the animation window)...move to the end point then tween

i dunno it makes sense to me but i know how to do it
