OK so i wanna upgrade my RAM, and get a better graphics card.

I was thinking.. well i was told :P To get a 256mb Graphics card.

I've found a radeon and geforce. I'll post the links at the bottom.

I also found a gig of RAM. For about £50. 500mhz i think. I'll post a link at the bottom. ( my pc is 512mb atm , but it's slow as... ) RAM makes your pc run faster jah?

I'm in the UK, so i'm not buying anything from america :P Too far. Too much money, too long to wait =D

And i also have 72gig of shit on my pc. 2 gig left. I can't find where.. about 40 of it is though. Meh i'll just reinstall windows, and save My Music, Photoshop, word, and a few bits of art to disk.

    Radeon - Only 240mhz

Geforce - 100mhz more. BUt slightly more expensive

Yeh. I kinda Just wanna know... if i'm looking in the right direction. And whether it's worth paying these prices for this kit.

Well lets talk about the ram first. You got to make sure that you have a spare slot to put the stick in. You must know if its compatible with your computer. ( SDram or DDRram ) you got to know what you pc has.

Gfx card. You got to make sure you have a spare AGP slot ( if you dont know what one looks like google image search ) If I was you I would go with the FX 5500 becuase the ATI RADEON 9250 can give you probs when gaming.

This is just my opinion, i dont know much about computers ^^^ is about all i know.

    Hope this helps

if u wanna find out how much RAM you have, right click on "My Computer" and go to properties, and it will give you how much you have. if the computer is decent, it should be DDR RAM, but if its really old, and slow then its SD. Also you should take your tower into a computer store to have them check what type of ram and motherboard you have to make sure you get some ram that is compatable, and have them install it for you, so you dont make an error.

I have PCi o, i started upgrading then realised i was to, i would need a new motherboard, then i would need basiaclly a new everything...

Youre in the excat same situation as me crofty, and its much cheaper in the long run to get a new PC...

Think, to get a good graphics card you need eitheR:

A new motherboard which leads to buying all sorts of new shit or,
A good PCi graphics card which it still pretty shit at 128mb... but that needs at least like 700mhz processer (CPU) and if yours is like mine you dont have that either, but to get a good CPU i nee a new motherboard i think...

You see where its going? a big circle so youre buying a whole new pc but you dont know it... so either make youre own which is what you need to do basically or buy one

Download this program, and install it.
    http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System...e-Edition.shtml

It will tell you you everthing about your pc. Including ram, what slots you have, and everthing in between.

I will reply later to help. If you need me I'll be on later today.
