Sphere design for graphics class.

Ok, before you click to see the sphere I made for the computer graphics class I need you to help me as well..

Ok, the sphere is fine, I don't care for anymore additions and all that. What I do need is to choose a proper background.

I was messing around with different backgrounds and I'm not happy with anything, I wan't something cool, although I want it to fit in with the sphere..yet for the sphere to stand out.

what should I do? (this is due for class today!!&#33

should I just go with a simple white background? but that looks cheesy as hell..any cool suggestions so I can wow my professor? and the rest of the class? Most people in that class are pretty newb anyways..well, compared to me.. ahaha showoff I am B) :lol:

i take it that the lightning with the out of phase effect is what you went with. well i reckon it looks bloody brillant mate. Only other effect you could have gone for is a sorta glass brick effect, which would be a lot of detail taht may detract from the ball.
