Well, heres my newest project, finished.
The ruined city, is a photograph taken at my house. I have this gaming board for the war/strategy game warhammer 40k. The board is the result of around 150 hours of work carving styrofoam, painting, cutting cardboard. So the board was NOT made for this piece. The rest of it is photoshop, no terragen this time the photoshopping took around 10-15 hours.
Myself, i think this is my best piece along with Eye of the storm.

^^copied from da
a pic of that board.

btw the name gathering is because, the stuff that comes out of the pipes comes together a creates a huge toxic cloud that covers the whole planet.
and that gets me to my next problem. i couldnt use any other colours than that yellow-green because i wanted it to look like the air was filled with toxic gasses.

I like the brushing lots. Awesome colours, and the painting is ace on the city. Clouds are VERY low. Possibly too low. iF you resize the image down it'll be easier to look at + higher quality.

Love the brushing though

Wow thats wicked sick, clever way of using your board huh?

Try to add in other colors I know you are trying to make it like a post-apocalyptical environment, but there are more colors apparent too, just make them more subtle

awsome stuff man. mind posting some of the models you've painted? i havent painted anything in about 2 years. I really like the colour, and the use of the board, but text is a little overpowering.

Good piece bro. I think it would've been better if the picture on the bottom was of better quality. Like Crofty mentioned, the cloud are too low. I think I like it overall. Good Job.

this whole thing about the clouds being too low...
The "nebula" is actually ment to be a hole in the cloud that covers the whole planet.
and the clouds are low cuz its supposed to be like foggy or sumthing...

rofl theres 1 games workshop in the whole finland xD

and thats in helsinki, about 4 hours to drive.
ive actually thought about clueing and converting all my models into a HUGE diorama on the board as i never play with them anymore.
and then maybe somehow hang it in my room on a wall

my next piece btw...

im kinda stuck with it right now <_<
