Okay I decided to have an attempt at creating some space art. I know there will be lots of mistakes and lighting errors ect but its my first so be gentle.....like a rabbit.

The only thing that needs working on is the texture of the planet. Which is imo one of the hardest to get right. Also the glow around the planet isn't to good. But besides those two things it looks pretty good m8.

I really like the stars and the light. I think glow is ok, if we say that your planet has an atmosphere(?&#33 but this dark foggy thing over the planet doesn't suit for me :/

A tip, use bigger resolution on your planet (I used 2500x2500 to start with, then I moved up to 8000x8000) and get textures from www.mayang.com or any other site and manipulate them. (clone tool is very effective, takes long time to get it nice though) Lastly you just drag your planet into your project and resize it.

The starfield looks good, but I would like them smaller, I suppose you have used a brushset. Try creating own starfields. (http://gallery.artofgregmartin.com)

Good luck, looking forward of seeing more from you.
