    Everytime I open a new document the background gets locked right from the beggining and I cant put a border or anything around it :angry: <_< :blink:

    isnt it always locked from begining? anyway, duble clik on it an clik ok - slved ya problem

    Yea, unless you start a new document with a transparent background. Thats what I always do.

    And when you open a JPG I believe it is locked. I haven&#39;t opened jpgs in photoshop for a long time though. Lol.

    You also could just goto the "layer" menu (at the top) click "new" then "layer from background"
