I'm looking into getting a paintball gun. I don't really know naything about them and or have ever played.

But my grandma got a new house with 60 acres, and this summer I'm going to be heading over there alot and my cousins are really into PB'in.

Just wanted to get some idea's on what to buy and such. =)

To preface, I don't know much about paintballing. I've only done it a handful of times and have no idea what guns are good and what ones suck. that being said, this is what I've heard...

The paintball place that's joined with the ski resort I work at uses Spyder's. They seem decent, the guy said they were pretty reliable. They run from $100-$300.

I also know that Angel's are like the best gun out there. They cost around $1,500 though.

I own a Tippmann 98 Custom, and they are very reliable guns for beginners. Many of my friends that play also own Customs, and they have no complaints about them.

Bob Long guns look very sleek and stylish, but they're probably too much for what you're after.

Other companies are Dye, Kingman, Diablo, PCS, Brass Eagle, Eclipse, Odyssey.

Oh, yes, and the company that makes Angel's is WDP.

Just look around at an online store:

paintballgear.com, for example. I'm sure you'll find something you like that you can afford.

if your getting new into paintball a great gun to get started with is a spyder or tippmann, but if your looking to stay with paintball i would then get a smart parts ion they are great and easy to use.

excelent advice, if your just playing woods and what not id get a tipp or a spyder. They are relatively cheap and reliable.

Oh, and it is always cheaper to buy a package (Marker, hopper, paintballs, CO2 tanks, mask, goggles, etc.) when you're just starting out. By buying everything together, you usually get some kind of discount.
