As said on topic, I'm kind of a newbie with this, but I made a quick sig that I thought I could make some feedback on. (One of my first) B)

I kinda like it, but move the render all the way to the left, and remove the lightning.

Pretty good for a first. I've seen way worse....

Tried a new one with some of the same effects and added more chars from FF8 in.

Its not horrible for one of your first, but its just some filters. But i wouldnt expect much more from a begginer. Try checking out some of these tutorials...

Try using some brushes instead of filters, the text would look better without the bevel too imo. Also try using just one render.
Theres a big list of brushes and fonts and things here http://forums.gfxvoid.com/t-7341.htm

Dante may be pretty used up, but I used him anyway. :P

Saying this again: I'm no pro, far from it. But I'm trying.

Edit: Nick used in sig is an old one, just thought it suited the pic better. :P

That ones loads better, just take some of the bevel of the text bevel is bad!
The render fits in and is blended well, good job.

Wow thats load better! Just mess around with some different font styles and look at a few multi-coloring tutorials. Im impressed with the difference b/w the first couple and the latest.
