Sorta kinda old news, he announced it like a week ago didn't he? It's partially good and partially bad, good in that he'll have more time for philanthropy and also to introduce more ideas, and bad in the sense that people might mistake it and lose trust in microsoft.


I think it's a good thing, personally. It's not like he's dropping everything and saying, to quote another member...., "f**k you microsoft, we're not friends anymore".







In other Bill Gates news, he recently acknowledged the XBOX mod community, specifically the 360 modders. He didn't fully support them, but stressed the importance of encouraging them, not trying to stop them.

I think its a great idea. Will allow for some fresh ideas to microsoft. It's cool that he wants to spend more money on global health, and education.
