I just bought 2 of their 7 albums, I got Follow the Reaper and Are you Dead Yet? And in my opinion they are the best band ever (out of all the bands I have listened to), they are like Dragonforce+Slipknot+Metallica+Bork Nagar and they just have a mindblowing sound like no other, if you are into Black Metal or just any kind of Metal then I advise you to have a listen at least. So I love them but Iwas wondering what other people here think? love/hate?

From what I know, or what I think, rather..they are melodic death metal with power metal influences. I suggest listening to their older albums, as Are You Dead Yet? is utter shit compared to let's say Hatebreeder, though I think Follow the Reaper is good as well.

I'm not into Bodom as much as I used to be, mainly because I was rather disappointed by their newest album.

I'm not too displeased with Are You Dead Yet? But mainly because of the track Living Dead Beat, if it wasn't for that and maybe If You Want Peace Prepare For War then i probably wouldn't listen too it as much. And yes Follow the Reaper is awe-some.

Saw them live last night...and I am fucking sore. I thought it was a good performance considering the time they had allowed to play. Their setlist was ok (honestly I don't remember it exactly) but I was disappointed that they didn't play some of what I thought were their better songs, but again, time was a factor. Since they weren't headlining, Alexi didn't do anything really fancy..

man you should be raped to death for only finding out the band now...
    lol.
But im not the biggest fan of em, because any kind/influence of power metal usually pisses me the fuck off.
    They're a good band though.

I've heard a few of their songs but didn't like them, not my sort of music.

I don't particularly enjoy anything after Bodom's first CD, Something Wild, but that one album is brilliant in my oppinion.
