One thing that's missing is a border, a 1 px black inner stroke would improve it. Also, this may be personal preference but the sig looks too tall. I'd say cut down on the height 50-75% and then resize Link to fit. You should probably try making him on one side of the sig rather than in the center. On the side opposite from Link you might try some text, even your username. I'm just throwing these ideas out there, the only one that's really important I think is the stroke. Good luck.

Throw in a master sword, maybe the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time shield also, it feels plain off to the left

Better. Agreed with phantamines about the left side being plain, but I disagree about adding more stuff (unless you decide to get rid of the triforce too, otherwise it may become too crowded). Instead I think you should work on adding interest to the BG by adding multiple layers of brushes (careful not to overdo this however). Try out some blending modes on the triforce layer too; see what it looks like if it doesn't get so much attention (allowing Link for more, which is a good thing). Also, something much harder to fix would be that the source image of Link doesn't look too great quality-wise. Experiment with curves, levels, hue, color balance, ect. to try to compensate for that lack of quality (sorry about the lack of details here, I'm not so great when it comes to these simple image adjustments, so I often need to experiment myself). Also, I'm thinking the sig as a whole may be too green (and the yellow is close enough to green to not really make a difference to me on that point). Again, I'm just throwing these ideas out there, try them out if you will.
