    Default Attention All 360 Owners.

All right I have a problem. I bought a 360 off of wal-mart's website and when i took it out I noticed on the metal part of the HD where it says HDD had several scratches on it. My first that was these rat bastards sold me a used hardrive. So I took it to my local wal-mart and exchanged it. When I took my new 360 out I noticed the scatches again. I don't know if Wal-Mart is full of assmanauts or this is common among all 360s. Im thinking of calling BestBuy and asking for some help on the 26th.

Did you take the plastic off of the side?

You may be seeing a reflection from the plastic...instead of actual scratches.

Yeah lol there was a sticker, a near fucking invisible sticker! Anyway I still have another problem! When I try to get on to Xbox Live the connection test is fine but when it searches for an IP adress it fails. I have my 360 connected directly to my computer.

Plug the Ethernet Cable directly into your source, that will show you if its the 360 or your connection, if it works jsut read some stuff about connecting it through your PC.

You have to set it up through your Pc i think, you cant just plug it in and WOO you're off.

Go to Network Connections and Start a Home or small office network and set ur xbox connection to share the PCs internet connection.

So you have a couple of options - setup ICS to share the connection on your PC, then connect 360->PC with a cross-over ethernet cable; or buy a cheap ethernet hub, and a second ethernet cable (to connect the PC to the hub) then plug the 360 into the hub. I used to run Live on my XB using ICS and never had a single problem.

You enable bridging by opening Network Connections, selecting
the two adapters you want to bridge, right click and select Bridge Connections.

From that i think you just have to set up a new network, should be easy

Im in the shoutbox if you need help

There is also a bitof info near the bottom of this thread http://forumz.tomshardware.com/commu...10.html#386694
