    Default La Marine-Royale

Well, here's today's work, a conceptual sketch of a Royal Marine. Yes, the side-text is en français, use Alta-vista's bablefish if you really can't puzzle it out. I'm not entirely certain how accurate the words I used would be, as I'm not familiar with French military terms and we didn't go over most of these words in French class, but I pieced them together enough such that, while they may not be idiomatically correct, they will get the message across. At any rate, the important part is the drawing, not the text.

Oh, and on a side-note . . . I distinctly remember beginning a thread in which to place all of my art-work, but I cannot find it. I can think of three possibilities for its absence: first, and possibly most likely, I didn't actually post it and just think I did. Second, and second-most likely, I posted it in the wrong section of the forum and forgot about it, and the final possibility, it was moved by a moderator to a location that I cannot find for some unfathomable reason. Anyway; enjoy the art piece.

Likely not of this particular image, but perhaps more of his brethren, or maybe his comrades in ships and vehicles.

No, it's a stun baton attached to a battery on his belt.

And it's digital art; I created it with a writing tablet in Photoshop.

I like it except for the him being skinny lol. And dont tell me that is a 9mm sidearm...they really have to get rid of 9mm. I wish the U.S. Military would follow the U.S. Marine Force RECON example and go back to the good ol' Colt .45's

I also wish americans wouldn't use imperial measurements; However, not everything can be so. (joke)

I'd like for us to start using metric, the English System is somewhat confusing.

I've been thinking about the armour, and discussing it with a friend of mine, and I've come up with a few changes that need to be implemented, so I'll probably be posting sometime soon with an updated form of the armour.

I don't think I ever came up with a bullet size for that pistol, but it's automatic, so it shouldn't matter so much.
