I don't get what you did. Aren't self portraits usually drawn?

What?? It's a portrait of me, set up and taken by myself. Therefore a self portrait. Who says self-portraits have to be drawn, that's the most ludicrous statement I've heard in a long while.

yea its a portrait, but i more like the natural ones, when you do or look like something usal, i dont think you often sit in that position. but if you like it then dont care about the others

A self portrait should say something about the artist portrayed within it. This shot shows me thinking, something I do a lot of. It is taken in the room I grew up in as a boy, it shows my bookcase, I am a big reader, rendering myself in colour in the first image shows that I try and find the interesting and enjoyable in a too often grey and mundane world. The t-shirt I'm wearing shows that I'm into music, the band in this case being the Fields. The bunk beds show that I am not an only child, I have at least one sibling.

So I guess it depends on what you think the image should show you, and what the sort of image is. I think for a self portrait you can get quite a bit of info from this image.

thinked it about a little, you should make a portrait then, when you are laying on your bed, reading a book, and with a higher deph of field, so everything would be on focus, the nice wardrobe with the stickers, the books, and all that stuff. guess it would be more real, cuz i dont think you often sit in that position but thats just a wrinkle
