    imo not my best though i like the bg and the render. and i already know i didn't blend it.

    As you said, it needs to be blended.

    For your background...well I'm starting to stay away from brushes for a bg. If you use them, keep them very subtle. There's lots of other ways to make a background without using brushes.

    thanks, ok my next sig will be without brushes, besides i've been meaning to move away from them for a while now.

    Don't necessarily stay away from them. Use them to your advantage, and when you really need them. Look at my current. See the tree? It's a brush.
