MY second web layout...hopefully better?

Alright well i had made this site layout a couple days ago, but inspired by the things i have been seeing lately i thought i'd show it to you guys. i was originally going for a website layout, but it seems like it'd be cool to use as like an online portfolio or something like that. i dont know cnc please.

I love the header on that one but i thought there would be a light grey/white layout under it and not blue/black. got kinda dissapointed.

I dont think you should use indents in the main text for this layout either, you should use "spaces" between the paragraphs.
try to make the font on the left column a bit smallar and justify it.
i think it would do better on the right side to.

I dont really like the menu layout, but you definatly have something interesting in there, try changing that manu around etc.
it got some potential .

the buttons rock. but the header doesn´t match and doesn´t flow with the rest. not even a bit. sorry. the header just looks not connected.

the rest is ok, maybe the blue is a bit dark behind the text. keep in mind that not everyone uses 1000:1 contrast screens.

Yea the menu is a bit weird, i just picked some random topics that i c in menus and threw them in their. I was meaning for it to be more of an example about what it could be like. Thanks ill take the indents out and put spaces in. i don't exactly get what yu mean by the whole blue and black layout thing. Are you meaning i should change the colors?

I can c why you are saying the header doesnt match, because i couldn't think of anything to use as a header, i just made a quiky in apophisys. I'll try to edit the header, or maybe just come up with a way to make it more connected.

I meant the whole content box .
the blue with black text.
i was expecting something lightgray/darkgrey ish.

The menu thing i was talking about is the buttons .
i like what you did to them!
i dont know about the "frame" around the whole thing though, kindoff makes it crammed.

yea i don't know what to do with the frame, right now im working on something else but when i finish ill make a couple touch ups and hopefullly finish the template.

i think you could do the text bg darker and use a white / lightgrey color fot he text.
maybe a border around the pictures .
bad thing now is that the buttons "just hangs there", they arent connected to anything.
i see you have revised it after mostly my advice (atleast what i notice). i think you should consider waiting for others advice also .

Well i based the changes off whta you and flalcore said, and seen as how nobody else is posting any CnC i'm just goin to base it off what you guys r saying.

I like the overall piece. what bothers me is that you prolly want a lot of people visiting your site and actually reading the text as well. but there is far too little contrast between the dark blue and the black text in the main text frame.

It might look fine on your screen but as aforementioned not everyone has high-quality screens (such as my employer...)
coming across this site at my work's pc, i wouldn't even bother starting to read it...
if possible just round off the menubar, small change that makes a lot of difference.
