Hm. It looks sort of plain to me. I would ditch the drop shadow and blend the dog into the background or something. I think the right is too light for the left. And change the text.
That's better. The strokes on the left are more noticeable, which is nice because they have the same "flow" (or whatever you want to call it) as the dog. The right still needs to be a little darker. The colors don't match entirely, but that's definitely not the first thing that hits me like in the first version. And change the text color. What if you used one of those darker browns from the sig and changed the blending to overlay?
On a slightly random note, I really like your current signature with the camera and the flash. ^^
