Your trying to install on a windows computer? You need to install apache first (if my memory serves me correctly).

I finally got MySQL running. I configured PHP to get the php_mysql module, but when I restart the Apache server, it says "PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library 'C:\Windows\PHP\mysql.dll&#3 9; - The specified module could not be found."
I changed the php.ini directory to C:\Windows\PHP\, which is where I have it, and I did rename mysql.dll to fit the php.ini module name. Tell me what's wrong. I need help!!! So confusing!!!

umm... why is php installed under c:\windows?

Which version of mysql have you installed?

I wouldn't recommend renaming any dll's, if an ini file is pointing to the wrong file then change the ini file.

I'm not familar with running apache under windows, but i know a lot about mysql, so if you tell me a little about your configuraton then I may be able to help you. going to be afk for the next couple of hours but then will be back.
