    Default Mattias

This is a photo of my friend Mattias.
I borrowed Martinbabies' camera, credz to him, lol.

EDIT: Edited the colors, removed a disturbing cellphone from the lower-right corner and fixed a disturbing white dot on the nose. peace.

Up close it is alright, but the quality of the background could be better, but then again, that is why the photo is close up on him. Hah. Nice though.

Low quality? What the hell are you on about? :S Nothing wrong with the quality at all.

Ok, so maybe the background is supposed to be a tad blurry, but I was simply expressing my opinion on the photo.

And I never said "low" quality. I said the background quality could be better, and that is in my opinion, not everyone will agree, I know that. And as you have illustrated. I'm different in how I do my photography, so I was simply using my views, that is all.

You have to be more specific in your criticism. Exactly what do you mean by better quality? Do you mean composition-wise? Or do you simply mean that it's blurry? If so then you need to read some basic information about photography as there is something incredibly important called DOF (Depth Of Field). Google it if you don't know about it. But if you mean composition, then don't use the word "quality". It seems people tend to use it in the wrong situations. Of course it's your own opinion, but we still don't have a clue what you're on about.

And I should give my opinion on the photo as well...
For a wide angle shot it's pretty good (since you almost never use it for portraits) and his facial expression is very good. The freckles give more character as well. Good composition!
There are some disturbing things though. The colors pop out and steal your attention way too much. And also the cellphone in the corner shouldn't be there. I'd sharpen it up a little tiny bit too.
