Default help, I have just been hired!

I have just been hired to design a webpage. In the past I have designed sites just to learn and for the fun of it, nothing too special. Then i showed them to my mate who is very good at coding at has buckets of work every week and was impressed so now he has recommended me. Anyways...

In a few days im going to have a chat with my employer concerning the layout and design. This is somthing I enjoy doing and would love to do again. So i really want to impress and seem professional and ontop of things.

Is there any advice people can give me?
    Questions to ask?
    Terms I should use?
    Any helpfull links?'

Really anything along these lines or things that you feel could help me out.

    Thanks for your help

Make sure you know your limits. If you can't make a database for them to list all their products and dynamically update the list and prices and quantity, then don't say you can.

Don't worry about terms, and don't worry about impressing him. If you've been recommended then you're already in. Set a deadline about a week out, fill in the design questionnaire as completely as possible and in a week supply them with a series of examples.
