    Default First sig in a long time... Devil May Cry

    Hey guys this is my first sig in a really long time any suggestions you all would have would be great...

    Not bad, but I think a little empty, there really isn't much depth to it.
    Also, a more clearly defined light source and focal would help.

    Render looks either very oversharpened or did you use a dissolve filter on it?
    lighting seems to be a bit strong too.

    yeah i figured the render was to small but that was halfway through making it haha. you got any tips on lighting?

    I think Papa gave me the best advice and that was simply to create a new layer above your render and then fill it with black and set it on color dodge.

    Then with a soft brush on very low opacity (like 10%) or so, brush the areas that you want to have a light source on.

    You can create your light source this way too by using a much larger brush and brushing in the spot you want your light to come from.

    the second one is better, but there is just too much contrast. the background is kind of plain. Not really much goin on for the typo either.

    Of course this layer have to be Linear Dogde.

    I normaly take a Large brush 180-200px sodt, then i brush one click on my mouse were i want light most of the brush out of the canvas to get it nice and soft, then i put this on soft layer and opacity down, create a new Layer Make a smaller brush and then brush the same place as before lower opacity if needed

    actually i set mine to color dodge and it seems to work good.
    what's the difference between the 2 Daemon?
