Actually, i dont think anyone would insult you for being new.. Exept if you steal someone
elses work, copying from another sig, and other bad things like that. Everyone are
newbies at the beginning. You might not thing so, but even Deep Blue was it.. O.o

Thats a very good attempt to be your first sig! Starting with a annimated, not many i
have seen does that. You managed to get it really nice.

Looks very good for your first one! Keep in mind to make a 1px black border for the sig, it often looks better than no border.

An easy way to do it:
    1. Create a new layer, place it as the top layer.
    2. Press Ctrl+A to select all
    3. Select the marquee tool and right-click on the selection and go to stroke
    4. Create a 1px black border around the image
    5. Done.

Also, that text can be a bit hard to read, try to put a stroke around it too.
If you dunno how, just right-click on the layer in the layer window an go to blending options. You'll find your way from there.

    Anyways, good sig!

i like it alot dude, the only thing that you should work on is blending text, the name looks quite plain next to all the rain, but overall good work, 8/10

Yeah i was going to do the light shining over the text animation but I couldn't get it to work. Thanks for the tip on blending the text. I'll go fix it later. Also thanks for the compliments everybody. Oh yeah Rabieshund thanks for the quick tut on how to make a black border. I'll go do that do.

that's a hard way to do it rabieshund , just pick the pencil tool and hold shift then make four lines around the sig .

great bg and the render blends kinda good too, good job!

For your first sig is very good :P ...You could use a better looking font though  ...but that's ok. Another thing I've noticed is that the rain seems to stop for a bit (0.1-0.3 sec) (I don't know; maybe it's just me  ).
Anyway as it is your first sig it's pretty nice B).

Note: You could also add a border to your animation...Here are some good tuts for that...
