Ok, this might cause some arguments so please try not to Whos your favorite guitarist and why. Please dont just be like "Oh well he sucks" that will start a fight, please dont just post to say something negative try to make a point please

Anyways I'd have to say its between Dimebag from Pantera \m/ and Yngwie Malmsteen. Dimebag was a phenomenal guitarist from our time, one of the best ever. He was so amazing and to top it off he was a kick ass person. Yngwie I've met aswell adn hes an asshole to everyone who meets him. Hes stilla an awsome ****ing guitarist but yeah, Dimes music and band apealed to me more than Yngwie even if he was better than Dime its still all just matter of oppinion

All time, I would have to say Hendrix. Recent I would say Dimebag.

See Hendrix was cool, hes was good, but not great most of his stuff was incredibly easy but he made it sound extremly cool. I'm not saying all his stuff was easy but most

I don't think how easy a song is to play, is a way to measure talent or skill. If you practice enough you'll eventually be able to play any song that was written. Hendrix had a sound that no one else did and nobody else was ever able to recreate it or change it to make it theirs. When you hear Hendrix on the radio, you know right away that it's Hendrix. You can't say that about too many guitarists.
