    i was trying out this new style (at least new to me) but im not sure if its working top its full potential. So tips plz!

    the brushin needs to improve. it just looks like one brush thats like brushes and then stopped where the dark area is. add more depth to the brushing and try to create a living environment of it. use gradients, curves and such to get good lighting effects.

    More depth!
    Make it flow better into the darkness..
    Try some contrast/curves layers..
