Two New Sigs

I haven't been able to use Photoshop for about six months and I'm just getting back into it now. I've done a couple of tutorials and I'm pretty happy I've been able to do these with only about two days practice. Here are two results from one of them.

The first one doesn't have any text for a reason; I still have no idea how to get text just right.

Not bad.

1st: Needs some text and something needs to go on in teh bg.
2nd: Needs a bare spot.

[Kyoushima]

1. Bg is boring, too plain and the scanlines re just meh

2. it needs some negative space, too much going on, render is blended in the wrong direction O.o
