Yeah I tried rendering it with HDRI, but it looked the same cos all the materials on it are matte, non have reflection, so I just left it.

the model is very nice ^^
i just think you should work with the materials...
an then try hdri... but not for reflection simply... use it for illumination... (global illumination)
try some tuts in deviant art... there are lots of them
very nice ones
