Jack that is amazing and well beyond anything I could ever hope to create, great job, keep it up.

My question is whether the wrist plate section looks proportionate to you? To me it looks a little big, like the hand would look very thick if it were latexed over, as in the film.

Is this just a trick of the perspective or maybe a restriction enforced by the design process?

    Thanks guys

Kyou - haha I'll consider doing the whole thing once I finish the arm, but that would be quite the project to undertake :P

Jefster - Thanks for the criticism, that's what I like to hear. I was thinking the same thing about the wrist myself and it has been an issue for a few other people as well. So, I'll work to make it a bit smaller. The only thing that is restricting me from doing that right now is the pieces that make up the forearm have to join the wrist. Because there is a lot in that section, it's difficult to make the wrist smaller without those pieces hanging off. It also isn't as bad as you might think. The hand will be a bit bigger than we imagine it will be, so it throws us off a little. As I said though, I agree completely about it, so I'll move things around and try to fix that wrist up

Thanks Busta And about the emo slaying robot, I tried once but there were too many of them and it blew up.

Update! Added fingertips so the fingers are done. I have the thumb left and then the model is finished! What do you guys think?

They're grainy I know, I turned the sampling down to save render time

Thanks guys and haha I love you too Sobek.

Update! I know I keep saying I'm almost done, but I mean it this time I have just the tip of the thumb left to do. I'll post links because there's 3 views this time. I fixed the wrist (made it MUCH smaller) so hopefully its a bit more accurate.

Finally the model's done! That is, except if there are any changes that I think need to be made. Here are 4 views of the model and I'll render an HDR one for fun pretty soon. Eventually I'm going to manipulate it onto a photo of myself. What do you guys think of it now?

Heh, now you're Jax from Mortal Kombat. Hell, the name even fits.

    Seriously though, two questions:
    1. Do you do sketches before your model then import them as a background into max?
    2. Do you use a reference (picture of a skeleton arm)?
I only ask because whilst the modelling is perfect, there are a few design impracticalities in the structure of the arm, and I think those two things would fix it.

Anyhow, nice work once again dood .
