    The background seems to repeat itself, and the stock is way to small.

    I think you should use a smaller canvas, thn you won't have some of the repetition. Your starting well though good job.

    dont use downloaded brushes, but if you must, do not use them excessively as in this sig. the colors, or color, i should say, needs to be worked, it's too large, the text is rather dull and the placement is questionable, there's too much empty space for it to be considered simply "negative", the stock does not fit the background and is far too small, it needs a border, and needs a decent lighting effect to have any sign of depth.
