Full Critique Please!

Ok, Im fairly new to photoshop. Probably been using CS2 for 3 months now. But havent used it in a month and started using it again yesterday. I made this sort of abstract maybe? art piece.

There will obviously be lots of things to improve on. Can someone tell me what i would need to do to make it much more eye-catching?

i can't judge abstract art..i guess its the eye of the beholder that really counts.
its nice, but wat is that gibberish by the side?
i think itd look cooler without it.

idk, i thought it just looked cool. Now u put it like that, its put me off "that gibberish" now. lol prolly for the better. I'll edit it w.o that text, but for some reason i cant get PS to respond. :s Try again later.

I like the nice ripple effect in the middle, it almost looks like sand. Although I agree with Immortal, the text on the side kind of ruins it. Text needs to be subtle but legible.
