Very cool for a first pen toolin'. The only thing that would have made it better is if the photo had been more real looking, then it would have made the effect a bit more stunning. Other than that it's a pretty stunning effect with that double line.

hehe so many people learning this now
    ^_^

i hope it doesn't become over whored

but anyways back to your piece

nice job for your 1st time

just idk work on spacing and size
i personally think its to big of a px brush (that goes for both the main (large line) and the sub-shadow (smaller line))

    keep working on that

    also
you don't have to use so much
sometimes things are best in small amounts

but keep working on it man
    and good luck

    Looks good to me.

I like how you blend it out at the bottom.

This is a good way to start, and you did good job on making it looks like it wraps around the guitar.

My only suggestion is to make it loop around a lot fewer times, around 5 would be good.

I agree with what's been said. For a first attempt it's nicely done. Another option would be offsetting the two curved lines for a double helix kind of effect. Just a thought. Keep it up, i'm looking forward to more pen tool work from you!
