    First One: It looks as if you have no focal point, but your depth is very nice. Your contrast of colors is like eye-candy.

    Second One: It looks as if you ruined the focal by adding effects onto his chest, if you were to remove those it would be overall pretty good.

    By the way, you should try cinematic borders. They look very professional while adding a nice look to it.

    Thanks for the comment.

    I'll look into cinematic borders next time.

    The bird was suppose to be part of the focal but I guess I smudged it too much and ruined the effect.

    To be honest I don't even see a bird in there O_o

    and here's how to make a cinematic border.

    make a new layer above everything, hit ctrl+a (select all) then go to Edit > Stroke. Leave everything the same except the width of the stroke (change to 4 pixels), change color to black, and change location to inside. Then go to the "move" tool and add Transform Controls then drag the left and right sides of the stroke out of the image, leaving the top and bottom.
