    It is a tut. But i didnt do the tut i just looked at the final piece and and got a couple ideas from it.

    good colours but i don't think the render suits the vector background which you've done quite well btw. A cartoon render or summat similar would have suited it better methinks. Thats a great render though, i'd recommend having another go with that.

    The brushes you used, nor the color goes with your stock image/render.

    I have seen this happen a lot. Someone finds a "vector" brush pack, and just brushes a bunch around an image. Lots of things out there do not go will with strait edges and circles.

    There are too many brushes used in this, try cutting about half of them out, and make the ones left fatter, and more prominent. Change the colors would be good too, the 3 main colors aren't the best together, espcially the off blue-green and orange-brown. You can barely read your name in there.

    As for the render, I would suggest looking for maybe a mecca or something like that that will have some strait lines in it to go with those of the brushes.
