The bg is pretty nice, try and only use one render cause having to will take away from the focal point, like Jon said read some tuts they will help, Daemon has some pretty easy tuts that are good, also for text try to avoid the outerglow doesnt look that good, well in certain things it can look good but usually not, over all not to bad keep up the work!
