you shold use harder grunged brushes and contarst

Yeah thats pretty much what i was thinking. It's just that i dont have much experince in the grunge field..i mostly do fractals and abstract.

i like the unique concept of it. the grunge looks decent on the left side of the sig but kinda fades into somethin that just looks like clouds. i think this occurred when you blended the render.

try this out if you get a chance. duplicate the render, select the bottom of the two layers, apply a 3 pixel gaussian blur and adjust the opac accordingly. i use this method a lot and i think it will give the blend a more natural look rather than the "ahh, half my face is falling off!" look. try to work on that i'd like to see an update.

yea i agree with everyone, adding harder grunge brushes to it will def. give it more depth. i like the whole historic theme of it though, that is actually a cool idea. and yea the blending is OK, but can be improved on.
