Yes, V2 is better imo, more definition to the guy. I don't like the text in either, dont used blending options~!

lol =/ i didnt use the blendin options, just made 1 overlay and 1 soft light. i didnt want them to stick out too much but i guess idk what else to do

Overlay and Soft light are blending modes. In any case, it looks good besides the text.

Placement, font, color are all things to worry about when using text. You can also use a gradient map to blend in font. Using blending modes makes text stick out like a sore thumb rather than blend it, it makes it shiny and really.. idk, ugly imo. If you really want some good advice on text, check out Papa's text tutorial
