    Default How to make a website using free web hosts

    Does anyone know how to make a website using free web hosts, the one I've tried using is: www.freewebs.com But I can't seem to do it, I know Cheesy has his own website which is very good. Was wondering if anyone can help me? It's going to be for gaming so any help is appreciated.

    weeebly is very easy, its all drag and drop, you dont need any info on HTML and stuff, but it is very basic.

    There's nothing wrong with freewebs, I just don't really know what I'm doing. How to upload templates is the main issue, once I've got the template uploaded that I want, I can fiddle around.
    Cheesy can I have the link to this weebly please?

    EDIT: http://linkedgaming.clangrid.com/ My website so far. xD

    That's using clangrid so do I need to upload that to webs? And if so, how do I do that? :\ This is where I'm confused.

    I've just spoken to live support on there and asked him a few questions and he didn't help me at all. I'll have a look at weebly.com - can you upload templates from other websites, I want to upload this template (http://clantemplates.com/templates/c...hancedwarfare/) on there.

    EDIT: Okay, I've started weebly, managed to get the basics started (http://linkgamingcss.weebly.com/)
    The question is - now what do I do?

    Looks like you got the template up. Just need to make some form of content area, then add content.

    I can't upload a template because they all say they're missing files - if I upload a screenshot can somebody help me because I think it's just a case of putting some files in to a new folder with a certain name.

    EDIT: This is what I get:

    Make sure the templates have index.html and main_style.css. I'm sure index.html is there but you'll probably need to rename their css file to main_style.css. Once you do that though, you'll have to change its reference in the HTML file as well. So open the HTML file in some text editor and change this part:

    Code:
     <link href="_____.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"/>
    to

    Code:
     <link href="main_style.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"/>

    There isn't a mian_style.css file unless it's in a text file. I'll see about the index.html though, thank you.

    EDIT: I don't have any text files except Thumbs.db :|
