Imo it's over burnt or whatever you used. Remove the blending options from the text as blending options and text never work well. Effects are cool but a bit montone, try using a complimentary color with it to spice it up. Great for a first

Great for a first signature but the text is bad. Also the render looks out of shape - whenever re-sizing renders/stocks always hold shift and drag from the corners.

Its a really nice first sig, just the text doesnt really draw your attention and is kinda out of place
try www.dafont.com, they have a great selection of freee fonts!
