I can't help but be rough, but it's because I care.
First off, the BG seems a bit overshapened and oversaturated in parts.
I see that you duplicated the render and put it on hard light or pin light, cant tell straight off, but it just looks like a gray smear.
Secondly, don't use the same font all the time, especially something as crazy as that. The point is to make the render your focal, not the text. Try using some sans serif fonts. While we're on the topic of renders, you should try to blend your render with some effects and the BG.
There are a few great tutorials on text, blending, and soforth on the forums, but I can't be bothered to get the links. Ptka or someone will likely get them for you

try to stay away from such composition, try not to move your focals to a sig edges, if you do such you must be really good with effects to fill up all that empty space

but for a begginer you did good, most begginers overdo their sigs with effects, which mostly dont look that good, but that twirl and colors fits the sig well imo

Before we can really help you, there are a few things you should learn.

Try this tutorial for basic things like blending and smudging:

Try this one for a really easy but nice looking full sig tutorial:
    http://www.gfxvoid.com/forums/showthread.php?t=52611
Another very easy to follow tutorial:
    http://www.gfxvoid.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26564
    A very basic text tutorial:

Just try some of these out, and ask lots of questions.
PM me or other people if you need help.
