Not bad effects in there, a little bit boring in some areas, and the text does need work.
Blending needs work, well.. you need to start blending really

www.dafont.com is my favourite for fonts.
You should work on blending, go to the sig section of the tutorials and just find one and work through it. :P
Ask questions if you need help with anything.
