@ #1 it's good but the focal needs to be brought out just a little more
@ #2 I like it, maybe a little more splatter at the bottom but it's good

The first one is really blank, nothing much going on there.
The second one is good, I really like it, the colours give the feel of an old medical textbook. :P
Could be a few more splatters, make some using a clipping mask.
The Everybody Lies text is decent, but the Pesh one could be improved.
On both of the text blocks however, I would lower the opacity or find a way to partially obscure them.

1. I love the colours! Buttt its very plain, the focal needs bringing out more and also the text.

2. A more satisfying piece overall, but It does need something added to it, like splatters or fractals or something.

1. Don't cover up the focal. There's really not much going on. BG is plain. Blending is well. Add more effects and don't cover up the render so much.

2. Good. Add some more splatters and effects. Maybe a lightsource.
