    It shouldn't matter what the person's skill level is.

    Try keeping greater quality control on all your layers so that your effects don't look low quality.

    dont overblurr effect, it makes them look low quality, it seems like bad jpeg file

    If your a beginner to photoshop, try my Hulk tutorial. It's very basic and easy to follow. It's in my signature "Click here!". Hope it helps.
