i duno who to vote... prolly gonna b twans
-
hard choice but twan got my vote
-
suppose i should explain... i voted sharjoko because his sig to me has the most depth and most aesthetically appealing colors... the pop out is pixely and the text could be better... but the bg really makes up for it...
i have noticed that twan has accumulated a good number of votes as well... his sig is nice but when it really all comes down to it... it's a pic or 2 with very minimal bg work... i bet no1 would even miss the bg if it wasn't even there...
-
i must agree twans sig required very minimal work since most of the sig is the actual render itself w/ a lil text work and some minute brushing in the bg

It's obviously not the toughest thing to make. Also, I did a little more than you may expect, added little things to make it look better. Anyway, just because you put a lot of work into it doesn't mean it's going to look good. It doesn't take a lot to make some things look good. My work there isn't flashy or colorful but I felt it got the job done with the yellow/golden lighting effect and the subtle blue eye color. I just wish some people would stop conforming and setting an image of the "correct" photoshop art in their mind and set it so if it doesn't resemble what they necessarily like, they just think it isn't very good. Abstract signatures are so overused it's boring to even look at them now.

I agree with twan. To win a competition, you dont need to spend a lot of time with your images. For one, you need a solid sense of what looks good, and in some cases you dont really need that much to make it look good (as twan showed).
Spending a lot of time or effects mean your going to win, if anything people should try to develope their sense of what actually looks good.
