2 things I notice right off the bat. The light source is a bit too overpowering. That and the fact that the placement is a bit peculiar. A lot of people say "everything needs a light source", but if you can't properly fit in a light source, don't force it. I would almost suggest putting it behind the stock you used, and try to blend it more. Lighting is a very finicky element, and all the pieces of the signature need to compliment it. Sort of like using gradients to reflect shading, lighting should affect everything around it, not simply be a light.

The border is also a little lacking for me. I would almost say that you could take it away completely, and still come away with a better piece. Borders (for me) allow the piece to stand out, especially against backgrounds like the void. But since it's a darker color scheme, you don't actually have to do much. That and blue tends to look nicer flush with grey. But that's just my perspective.

Sorry I cant offer much more help. I don't do signatures, so I have to apply "artistic degradation" rather than expertise in signatures when there is clearly none to be had, for me anyway.

Actually yeah, the elements are presented more clearly, and whatever you did to the border made it less apparent. Try this: Bring that lighting layer back, and make the mode "Overlay" and see how that affects it.

I'm not sure if you did it right, judging by the color of the layer.

If you did it right, excuse my ignorance:

This one is the best of all. Splatter is excellent. Text could be improved though, maybe set that to soft light and make it stand out less?
