    Default REALLY annoying problem...

Ok, this is driving me nuts now. Sometimnes, when I'm working on a new piece, I save it one day, then the next day when I go back and try to complete it, I open it and this is what it says:

Could not open "File Name" Because this file is not compatible with this version of Photoshop.

    Any helpers out there?:/

Normally I fix problems for myself but this is really frustrating.

Do you have Norton on your PC?

    Thanks.

Norton has a bad habit of changing and corrupting files on a system, that's why I asked. If that's not the problem, I really don't know I am afraid. If you have the option to re install CS, that may be a solution, but don't take my word for it.

    Thanks.

Do you immediately shut down the computer when CS is still on, even if the work is saved?

Could be one of the file save compatibility problems, if you go to Edit, Preferences, and see what version the files save to?

Tsk tsk. Never shut off a computer with programs running.

    Thanks.
