I like this sig alot. It just seems there is something... missing? You know? Maybe that was the effect you wanted - emptiness, hence the render's deep-in-thought look.

I love the vivid purple. :]

I think it may be the large white spaces. It's cool that they are contrasting, but maybe extend the purple just a pinch so it's not such a void? (no pun intended).

You name fits this perfectly. It seems very peaceful and i personally feel that the all white bg its just right for this.

What is missing from this?.... EFFECTS! this would be a wonderfully thought out piece if you where to add some more effects. A well placed C4D or two and some brushes/filters could really elevate this piece.

But effects can be the fix to all the problems... can it? NO, you are missing one more crucial element... DEPTH! since you are working with a plain all white BG, you have to give the render and the effects around it some type of depth. Try to find a way to add some depth yourself, and if all else fail... PM me and i will try to see if i can help you out with some ideas for depth.

Added some photofilters, and a lil sharpen/blurring, still don't have any ideas for C4D's or effects.

Make the focal bigger. And, set c4ds on linear dodge, set opacity as u wish, and see if it works
