Do watch out with changing renders, you might make ' em worse.

    1.
Ctrl + Click on the layer's thumbnail, if you have done it correctly you will get the selection.
    - only then not a text layer

Now you can go to step 2 or 3. If you arent long in PS I would say 2 because its simpler.
    2. Go to Filter→Select→Modify→Contract. Now put in 1 or 2 pixels.
Your selection will get 1-2 pixels smaller. right click on the screen , click select inverse, and press delete.

    3. (Still have your selection on) Give the layer a layermask(shown below).

When you clicked that, you will see some shapes next to your layer. Now go to Filter→Other→Minimum.
    Enter 1-2 pixels.
Right Click on your layermask, press Apply layermask. Now you will have 1 layer, without the wite pixel(s) on the sides.

    Found this useful?
    A rep wouldnt be innapropriate.

this was not usefull apple. poor mrgnome will be totally confused by now haha.

here is what step 2 should be:

Go to Select -> Modify -> Contract. Now put in 1 or 2 pixels.
Your selection will get 1-2 pixels smaller.
Now go to Select -> Inverse
Then go to Edit -> Cut

    that's how you do it.

as for step 3: i don't know what you do there but it doesn't work! lol
