Collab competition

collab stands for collaboration.. so two (or more) people workzz together on a tag.

With a Collab all you need to do is create a PSD file to share. All Adobe programs use PSDs and programs like Gimp can allow the use of PSDs.

Some things that you may need to watch out for when sharing are Masks and the compatibility of them with different versions, filters and effects through the use of new layers, and text.

I went from PSE-6.0 to CS2 and I noticed how PSE-6.0 doesn't allow the use of the filter layers like "Levels" and "Photo Filters". PSE actually applies it to the actual layer, rather then create a new layer like CS2. Text is also pretty easy to sort out. When you send a file with some wording, send it with the font file to prevent any problems.

One last thing to note is you should name the layers. The worst thing in a collab is when you receive a file and all 20 layers are named "Layer 1-20".
