a render question

idk if im posting this in the right section as i m new here, but i was hoping someone could help me with this simple question. i m a newb at photoshop so idk how to put a render into an artwork. ok so i registered to planetrenders.com and found a render i liked. so i opened it all the way like ur supposed to and i saved it and everything. i than opened up Photoshop CS4 and created a 400 X 100 background thing. i then opened the render in photoshop. it then opened up as a seperate tab at the top. i cant figure out how to bring that render to the white background thing though. can someone please tell me? i feel stupid because this is probably a simple thing but idk much about photoshop.

Drag the Tab Down and then drag the render to the bg

or hit ctrl+a then ctrl+c then go to your blank canvass and hit ctrl+v. Its way easier
