    Default Smudgy C4D'ED Stuff

Here's what I came up with:

The render is similar to one I used before, so are the colours.

You've started to blend your render, nice work man!

The smudging isn't bad but I'm not too sure about the sudden red block behind her but aside from that your getting better.

The text is also better placed again good job.

    Keep at it man.

Thanks, yeah the red block was a C4D that I messed up lol.
I jus't put it there and see what happened, didn't turn out that well though.

But I'm glad you like it, I'm glad I'm still making improvements

I made another one, where I used the Dodge and Burn tool A LOT. Check it out:

Your venom sig is pretty nice. It's a tad boring though. Try adding a light source with a soft white brush and play with the blending options. You more common text such as Helvetica, Arial, Tahoma, and Verdana. Great improvements though.

yeah the colours in your venom tag work much better and the dodge and burn tool have worked well. I also like the subtle effects like the splatter in the bg.

Change the font though, I now it goes with the whole venom style but kinda gives a tacky look to the sig, the placement is good though.

    Keep it up man.

Thanks all! Okay now I played with the light a bit, I don't know if it's what you meant though.
I changed the text a bit too, what about it now?

    Too much lighting?

The text is much better now.

As for the lighting I think running man meant just brush a small amount of white at the top of the signature to act as a light source for it. You can do this with a 200px soft brush and just add a really small amount at the top. Just make sure to put it in line with the highlights from your render, so in this case the light source would need to be pretty much directly above your render.

Okay then I will add it again later, and post it again for your opinion.
Oops lol.. I wrote over my psd. file, and now my old venom psd. file is gone... >,<
So I can't remove this lighting, but I understand what you mean.
